The outer pane faces outside. Available in clear, patterned and laminate.
Clear Glass
Standard transparent glass in 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm. The most common choice for standard windows.
4mm Pattern
Obscured glass with 17 patterns including Cotswold, Flemish, Stippolyte, Satin and more. For bathrooms, doors and side panels.
Clear Laminate
Two bonded layers for extra security. 6.4mm, 8.8mm and 10.8mm clear, plus 6.8mm acoustic for noise reduction.

The inner pane faces into the room. This is where you choose your energy efficiency level. We supply low-E glass from leading manufacturers including Saint-Gobain, Pilkington and Guardian.

Low-emissivity coating that reflects heat back into the room. Known as Planitherm (Saint-Gobain), K Glass (Pilkington), or Guardian Low-E depending on supplier. 4mm, 6mm, 8mm and 10mm. Also 6.4mm softcoat laminated.
Premium
Planitherm Total+
The most common high-performance low-E for UK double glazing. Excellent thermal insulation with low U-values, neutral appearance, and high light transmission. The go-to for standard homes, replacements and new builds.

Planitherm Total+
Best for standard homes, replacements and new builds. Excellent thermal insulation, neutral appearance and high light transmission. The most common choice in UK double glazed units.
Planitherm One
Best for passive houses, eco builds and triple glazing. Higher insulation than Total+ with very low U-values. Maximises solar gain while retaining heat.
Planitherm Comfort
Best for south-facing rooms, conservatories and offices. Reduces overheating from the sun while keeping heat in during winter. Slight solar tint cuts glare.

Spacer Bars
4mm to 20mm in 2mm increments. Eight colours: black warm edge, warm edge white, warm edge dark grey, white, silver, grey, brown and gold.
Toughened
Add toughening to any glass. Required for doors, windows below 800mm, and overhead glazing.
Georgian and Lead
Georgian white/brown 18mm or 25mm. Duplex 18mm or 25mm. Lead antique or bright 6mm or 9mm.
Shaped and Cutouts
Single or multi cut shaped units for arches and angles. Cat flap and vent hole cutouts available.

Remove Beading
Carefully remove glazing beads from around the glass. Start with the longest bead.

Measure Width
Glass edge to edge in mm. Measure top and bottom - use the smaller figure.

How do I measure for double glazed units?
Measure the glass only (not the frame) edge to edge in mm. Measure width at top and bottom, height at left and right - use the smaller figure each time.
What is the difference between softcoat and Planitherm?
Softcoat is the general term for low-E glass - known as Planitherm (Saint-Gobain), K Glass (Pilkington), or Guardian Low-E depending on supplier. Planitherm Total+ is the most common high-performance option for standard UK double glazing. Planitherm One offers even higher insulation for eco builds, and Planitherm Comfort adds solar control for south-facing elevations.
Do I need toughened glass?
Building regs require it for doors, windows below 800mm from floor, and glass near baths or showers. Select Yes in the configurator.
What spacer bar should I choose?
16mm or 20mm are most common. Warm edge spacers (black, white or dark grey) offer better thermal performance than standard aluminium. If replacing, measure your existing unit's overall thickness to calculate the spacer size.
What pattern options are available?
17 patterns on 4mm outer glass: Artic, Autumn, Cotswold, Flemish, Minster, Stippolyte, Sycamore, Chantilly, Charcoal, Digital, Everglade, Florielle, Mayflower, Oak, Pelerine, Warwick and Satin.
